While being charged with a crime is never a fun experience, we are grateful that our clients have appreciated the services we have provided for them enough to have taken the time and tell us that.

Let me start by saying that I know I am not the easiest person to deal with and I know I can be incredibly impatient. I made a few stupid mistakes and had felt bounced around by a few attorneys when I finally landed in your office.

As I am sure you are aware of getting in trouble with the law can be extremely embarrassing, shameful, uncomfortable, scary, and a whole bunch of other things (I am sure you saw every one of my emotions over the course of a two year period). From the moment I stepped into your office for the initial meeting you made me feel comfortable in a very difficult situation. "This letter is to document my support of Mr. Geoffrey Burg, to recognize his talents as an attorney and express my heartfelt gratefulness to the personal focus that he gave to my case in a time I needed it most.

I am currently a part of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, located in Gardez, Afghanistan. The Corps is involved in a humanitarian effort in this country, rebuilding the infrastructure that was decimated by the Russian invasion of the 1980's. Because of that destruction that plunged Afghanistan into depression and poverty, fanatical Islamic groups such as the Taliban and al Queda took advantage of the plight of these people to their advantage in establishing a base to wage terrorism around the world.

Shortly before I deployed to Afghanistan, I found myself in a precarious legal position that could have denied my security clearance and kept me from coming here to lend my expertise in the effort to help these people once again be strong and self sufficient. The position I found myself in caused me more anguish than I can describe.

Thanks to Geoff, I was able to resolve my issues a matter of hours before I was set to fly out of Seattle. The primary issue was resolved, and all loose ends were addressed. I was able to leave with a completely clear conscience, and I owe that to Geoff.

"In the midst of all his other glory this week [when Geoff suppressed thousands of breath tests], I had the pleasure of watching Mr. Burg argue a motion in Kent Municipal Court this morning. This should have been a 5-minute argument regarding the City's motion to continue a trial, but in light of the questionable tap-dancing and other shenanigans by the prosecutor it turned into a 2 plus hour hearing.

Mr. Burg was the absolute gentleman in the face of some really borderline behavior exhibited by the prosecutor - and his grace and class lent complete credence to his argument. His preparedness backed the City right up against a straight dismissal and landed his client a pretty amazing resolution.It was fun to watch and great to see the caliber of work our members are doing.
